My research has focused on women and adolescent sexual and reproductive health. I have been engaged in designing, implementing, and evaluating randomized clinical trials of behavior change interventions. Many of these interventions have been designated Tier I evidence-based by the CDC and disseminated widely in the U.S. and globally. Relatedly, I have developed an adaptation model for modifying existing interventions to enhance their relevance and effectiveness for diverse populations, in the U.S. and globally. Many of these interventions models complement individual and small group motivational enhancement strategies with eHealth and mHealth strategies to catalyze and sustain health promoting behavior change.
