Dr. Michelle Twali is an Assistant Professor in Applied Psychology at NYU Steinhardt. Her research examines how historical and social political contexts shape the psychological needs and meanings of members of groups targeted by violence and oppression. In addition, she’s interested in developing and evaluating theory-driven and contextually-relevant interventions among refugees and host communities.
