I study the cognition and behaviors of professionals and managers that influence employee wellbeing, and consequently, organizational performance in health care. I am interested in workplace interventions that aim to improve employee wellbeing metrics such as job satisfaction, work engagement, or burnout. I approach these interventions in two ways: establishing an in-depth understanding of organizational context that can best inform intervention design and evaluation, and capacity building and education for managers. I apply theories and frameworks from psychology, organization science, and health services research in my work, which has appeared in journals like Academy of Management Discoveries, Health.
